More About Calandria

Just one look tightened the knot in his tie (a Spanish expression, meaning he got scared) later, using his logic he commented.........

"Well...... I suppose there must be an airplane or, at least an    elevator......"
"By cable mister......"

The place besides, was an irony, it was called Andemis -- (in Spanish "Andamos" means "lets go")

"How?......."
"By cable mister......."
"But........"
"By cable........."
"All right, all right......."

He climbed the rope, without looking back.  Within an hour he was on the top, chatting with the Monks of the

convent.  There, he stayed three months.  If somebody, would have asked him what impression he received climbing 400 meters by a rope he would have answered, no doubt, the way he answered us...........

"How extraordinary is the Peloponesus!.....The afternoon,
the sun, the blue mountains, the shepherd, the pine
trees and the aroma of honey that comes in the wind."!

Because this was from an artist, this Gaucho from Canelones....Juan José Calandria
